lol I was trying to find the exact quote and I stumbled on something even better- his unhinged interview with PBD where he claims Neuralink is implanting the “mark of the beast” into patients as prophesized in Revelations. Also insists no human has ever broken through the “firmament” (flat earther-speak for the barrier above our sky).

    • shit, I haven’t heard that particular flavor of kooky (the firmament) since I used to watch this accidental ASMR gibberish spouting weirdo who called himself Steven Christ (or something like that). he would quietly mumble to himself while drawing pencil drawings of the “real world”, which was this flat earther-esqur hollow sphere thing aka “concave earth” while he drew secret tunnels elites were planning and talked about where the sun, moon, stars where, where NASA was actually going and perceptual phenomena that “explained” those lying eyes of yours.

apparently the guy was not harmless either, as he would repeatedly have violent encounters in public and went to jail multiple times for assault… which he insisted was due to Obama. but his videos would sometimes survive and be re-uploaded.

here’s a to video on a surviving channel, if anyone is curious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGWTygmW__Q

anyway, I can vibe with people talking spiritual cosmologies, but a major red flag for me is when they repeatedly use all those archaic terms and phrases like a crutch to add prestige to their musings (scripture, firmament, etc). it sets off my “this is bullshit” meter.

just say what’s in your mind and heart… don’t try to abracadabra me.

I went down the flat earth rabbit hole a few years ago because I found it astonishing that people actually believed in this. That’s when I realized that its devotees aren’t just eccentric science skeptics but rabid fundamentalists who present a real danger to society. It’s like antivaxx and biblical literalism ratcheted up to its ultimate conclusion.
