    why don’t we have like a factory size CNC yet? its kinda funny that we still forge stuff this way, but i guess its relatively cheap.

      Forging is an inherently different process compared to CNC machining. The grain structure inside a forged part provides extra toughness, and for a shaft like this, that material property is critical.
