I think you have to join the heist if you came upon it in real life, worst case that happens is you get caught and instantly become internationally loved overnight for spontaneously joining a racoon heist, best case you just got yourself a slot on the most badass crime squad ever and one day people will see you as a mythical hero when the truth comes out.

I mean for one, it instantly makes you 10x attractive to hot cool people, off the bat.

Most mediocre outcome is you pitch a book about your life to a publisher that begins with “so I decided, to hell with it!.. and joined the racoon heist, I could see immediately that they could use help with the larger gold bars”.
