I agree with the post, but it’s not a fair comparison.
I wonder how much development will Chengdu have in 15 years time. Once the main public transport infrastructure exists there might not (necessarily) be a need to extend it (in 15 years time).
Much more, they’re building a large station down the street from where I’m staying currently, and the trains are at capacity throughout the day despite running trains every couple of minutes.
