    The great lesson the american rich learned from the financial crisis of the 1970s is that you don’t have to do anything useful to get rich. All of Reagan’s deregulation wasn’t to make america more productive, it was to balloon the stock market and overpay executives. When Reagan took office, ‘earning your age’ meant that a 35 year old who was making $45,000.00 was a major player.
