[$0/$313] Car registration + state ID/driver’s license

I’m trying to fundraise to keep my home, a 2006 Scion xA that I’ve been living in since it was gifted to me in November (I’m homeless and was just like, on the streets, living on the sidewalk and shit before the car).

Having this car has changed my life so much for the better. I’ve forgotten what it’s like to go weeks, sometimes months at a time without really eating. I actually give a fuck about getting my life back together after almost a decade of fucking myself off.

So it’s really fucking scary that the car is unregistered, and that I don’t have a driver’s license. If I get pulled over by a cop who’s having a particularly bad day, I’ll be on the streets again.

And barring that, having a DL and a registered car opens a lot of doors for me.

It’s $65 to get an Oregon state DL. Registration fees for the car amount to $248.

But I also need money for gas, food, and other shit I need to enjoy life: clean clothes, hygiene stuff, etc. So I don’t have a set goal.
