the fact that there was a ceasefire under Trump (however short lived) which never would have happened after a Dem victory, apparently gives them no fucking pause at all. Like I don’t doubt things are going to be worse for American minorities under Trump, and I hate it. And I am certainly not downplaying that Israel’s horrendous crimes have now resumed in earnest! But Trump talking about taking over Gaza and building hotels there isn’t in fact worse than that! A ceasefire + “Trump said some extremely dumb shit” is not, in fact, worse than no ceasefire but Trump didn’t say the dumb shit.
But, of course, liberals can’t imagine anything worse than Bad Optics, because they are fundamentally unserious people.
