Except he actually said he would run for a third term, and that he wasn’t even joking about it.
My favourite recently was to refer to it as

I don’t know…I’m not defending trump in any way, but I’d certainly say literal adolph hitler is worse than trump. Now, that may change in time. We’ll see, but for now…
He’s not as bad (yet, at least). But Hitler didn’t have access to a gigantic nuclear arsenal, so Trump has the potential to do way more damage

I always felt the Onion should have pivoted to actual news after the world jumped the shark. Seeing posts from them these days is just depressing…
This isn’t funny, it’s way too real to be funny… You need to say outlandish things he would never say, not something he’s probably going to say tomorrow.
Begging The Onion to stop. Someone might read this to Trump and he’ll think it’s his idea (the best idea!) and run with it.
