Almost everyone I’ve personally talked to who has supported assisted suicide wants it for themselves, and often have previously attempted suicide.

Perhaps there’s a bit of bias in who I talk to about it, it doesn’t exactly come up in normal conversation with non-terminal or non-suicidal people.
