Coning should be one of our national sports, what an achievement.

The council wanted anyone who witnesses suspicious activity on public land to contact police.

People should totally not report every roadworks where there are cones.

Auckland Council is investigating how a road cone was placed on top of a tall tree in the CBD.

As someone who was reckless teenager once, I’m gonna put my money on a reckless teenager.

The main question I have, do you think they carried it up, or lowered a rope and pulled it up?

Or perhaps a drone was involved.

The tree looks pretty easy to climb and sturdy until quite near the top, so I was originally thinking carrying it up (perhaps tied to a rope being pulled up behind them - pulling it up from the ground seems a bit much given the height of the tree).

But drones weren’t a thing in my day. Maybe it was a drone, I didn’t think of that. But cones are a lot heavier than they look, would a drone be able to carry a 5kg cone to that height?

I suspect if you could do it with a drone we would probably see a lot more of them.
