I usually cheer for Ichiyamamoto, but I did not think he had it in him. JSA’s going to go out of business if they have to keep awarding kinboshi.

edit: it’s not in the “best of” video, and the video in Japanese doesn’t show it, but apparently the Shishi match had two false starts, presumably because Asakoryu was throwing Shishi off his “claw hand bounce” tachiai? It’s a clever tactic tho it didn’t work out for him. Can’t wait to see a video of it, hopefully tomorrow’s NHK video contains it.
