So from all of us early adopters of Lemmy, I think it’s safe to say a lot of us are trans women. We have to take a lot of HRT just like y’all and I wanted to say… AAAAAA
Forgot an injection? Oops your week is gonna be filled with crying EVERY DAY. And then dealing with pharmacy problems… ugh.
Trans women are women. ❤️
My daughter-in-law is trans. We had a conversation not long ago about HRT availability. The fact is that those of us who choose the HRT path for our peri and post menopause will have a lot of the same fights for access if things continue as they are in the USA. We are definitely on the same team.
Also, I would like to add, I’m still working through the details, but I’m trying to stockpile (90 day Rx from doctor helps with this) so I always have at least a month in reserve in case of pharmacy problems. Not just HRT, but everything.
This goes for my husband as well… he’s on medications he absolutely needs to take every day. During 47’s first term, we actually ran into supply issues on a couple of his medications and the doctors and pharmacist were scrambling trying to find supply and alternatives.
My HRT journey only started a few months ago, so I’m still working out dosage and details.
