In case more evidence was needed to make it clear that the corporate media is the worst, nearly every major Western outlet has ignored the 70 Christians who were just beheaded inside a church in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Like I said, it’s not an area known for incredibly thorough journalism and reporting so things are usually kinda slow to be rolled onto the front page.

Thank you for the links but Wikipedia isn’t mainstream media (it’s trustworthy, but not the discussion we are having) and yahoo… Is it just reposting The Daily Record?

The references are though boss, there’s several.

        https://www.bbc.com/afrique/articles/cj91m74k2p8o

Also no the daily record is repeating the bbc and afp not the other way round.

Ummm… ? I don’t know how to use Lemmy so maybe I’m missing some context, but the first link (which is showing crossed out) is from 2018? And the second link is in French, is there an English report?

So it seems that the MSM is not really reporting on this… I found a Fox news report (eww) and I saw MSN as well, only after I used incognito mode.

The first one was the wrong link so I edited it out, the second link is the first report of the incident from a major news source which is what was asked.

Those are both main stream and moreover the outlet afp is pushing it with live corrections as they come. Once it’s vetted a bit more you’ll probably see more about it but it’s still not going to be as high of a reported thing as basically anything political at the moment.
