Also causing all sorts of subduction, creating giant sinkholes that can swallow whole neighborhoods.

The place I’m living in the PNW is experiencing a massive surge in water usage as the population increases dramatically. The people are moving here specifically because our county has no water use restrictions so they can water their lawns to their heart’s content. This is a problem because the places these lawn-waterers came from put those water restrictions in place because the people were using up all the water on their useless lawns.

How can anyone in the PNW have lawns? Just grow some ferns and not even think about it.

Oh my god, this country is soooo fucking boring. Their idea of fun is just rolling around in the corn-syrupy mud or trying to piss off anyone cursed with a triple digit IQ in this shithole.

It will be interesting to see where this is going. Is everyone just going to end up piling into the 30% of states that are still habitable?

More like castle doctrine types absolutely frothing at the mouth to gun down desperate people coming onto their property.

The funniest part about this is that some of this can be mitigated by restricting animal ag to any degree, digging ditches in strategic places to soak up the flood waters, planting native plants and taking local hydrology seriously and Americans can’t be assed to do a god damn thing about anything

Dont worry this will be solved by piping water from the great lakes to the rest of the us. Just dont ask what happens when they run dry.
