      Friendly reminder that, in many USian work places, vacation time is paid out when you leave but sick time is not.

      Feel like taking a day trip? Call in sick. Save up your vacation time for a nice payout.

        i thought this was pretty much what everyone else did because it’s the rational thing to do. But no, people are so much more puritanical than I ever imagined.
