they’re also getting mad about the same thing on the .world latestagecapitalism

I almost never seen any moderates being called a Tankie. Only when they end up making apologies for said examples, or more recently for various terrorist groups like hamas. Granted, I’m just left leaning and stay out of economic philosophies but I’ve clashed a lot in political topics with the definitely Tankie heavy user base on here.

.world famously a tankie haven now

      [I] . . . stay out of economic philosophies

i.e. I’m socially liberal, fiscally conservative.

Also, if your moderator is rejecting Wikipedia links as “propaganda” then they have no business being a moderator. Wikipedia is one of the last, best sources of information on the Internet that isn’t biased, corporate-sponsored bullsh*t. Those mods are either UP TO something or have been bonked on the head.

Wikipedia is one of the last, best sources, which is why every teacher has ruled it an invalid source for like 20 years

To doom abit, they have stopped doing that in poorer school districts. Most of the time they are happy if the student cites anything at all, let along distinguish between primary and secondary sources. Those kids tend to be in for a shock if they make it to college and it is no longer an acceptable source for academia.

It did not take long for them to go from obsessing about external enemies to internal purification. Nobody could have seen this coming.

In witch-hunting leftists they turned towards themselves, and when the views they nominally agree with are suddenly targeted by the fascists they safeguard and harbor, theoryless liberals get further and further confused and don’t know what to do, so they join in the lashing.

It’s always funny that a vague quote from Marx can get thousands of upvotes on .world but the second someone defends Marxism, everyone there brings out the pitchforks.

The “left” liberals always get caught in the net of western chauvanism during their radicalization process and thus cannot comprehend the world around them. Nothing makes sense, everything is chaos, and this will continue until they manage to read theory or join a principled org.
