Yes, they were angry that James (The Nerd) couldn’t play a game with Mike Matei (Basically the guy who played almost all the other characters, and he is weird) because James had to take care of the kids. They wanted James to play games for hours and hours when James in rl doesn’t even play games, he literally plays a character.
The only legitimate criticism of him I’ve seen is from Folding Ideas who just roasts his production set up. Like seriously? You bolted a $10 tripod to the ceiling to hold your key light?
Iirc James explained that he has his entire set built around his basement because it’s faster and easier on the production team (whom are no longer just James, Mike, Kyle and Bootsy).
James also burns on DVDs ALL his videos and projects for some reason, I think only recent he bought those huge external SSD to preserve the videos.

Yes, it’s very bizarre. Iirc it started as a censorship free place because Mike Matei used to mod the AVGN subreddit and he didn’t take lightly to criticism. Mike used to be the real life Angry Gamer (he was the one who owned the games, consoles).

Maybe I’m misremembering things, I know someone said the N-word, but it wasn’t James (I think he’s a lib guy who voted for Hillary), I think it was one of the new guys. I believe Bootsy left mainly because he had a fight with Mike and because he didn’t agree with the amount James was paying him. I think James only paid him for some things, like editing, but didn’t pay for other things, like the music Bootsy did for Board James. The same thing happened with Kyle, but I believe Kyle left mainly because he has a family and works in real estate.
