More time has passed for you since the first 'Shrek' was released than has passed for a person who was travelling fast on a spaceship the whole time. Feel old yet?

Conclusion: stars are not made of atoms

This is correct, while atoms are very small stars are believed to be very large

Relatively speaking. Thing is, though stars are very small (you can verify this by looking upwards) atoms are so much smaller you can’t even see them!

Given the whole “half your age plus seven” rule I could plausibly take someone who hadn’t been born yet when 9/11 happened on a date. Weird to think about.

Yeah, but I’ve been commuting three hours to work and back every day at an average of 45 miles an hour so less time has passed for me than for you!

I only ever travel west, adding to the earth’s rotation, to keep young.

Fun the facts #3 here: you can, actually, according to senior international scientists, kiss your mouth in a mirror, but only your mouth, in a mirror.

Fun fact, centipedes grow one new set of legs per year. You can tell how old a centipede is by counting the number of legs pairs.

Biologically, they’re only known as centipedes when they’re exactly 50 years old. More generally, they’re called enumeropedes.

Isn’t the plural of “centipede” supposed to be “centipode”?

badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who’s been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase “GOOD post” followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people’s bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you’re struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get better worse material bozo
