I think she may have been a bounty hunter early in the lore but they retconned stuff at random, none of it mattered and most of it was hidden outside of game

Could be an extension of producerbrain “Second screen” ideas where you need your media to be able to hold or relate the attention of someone that’s doing something else. Bigger, louder, simpler, repetitive
I’ve heard of this. It’s like an actual mandate by streaming company producers like Netflix now. Not sure if it’s the exact situation in this case, but still, it:s crazy to me that they’re encouraging the production of media that’s actually not meant to be watched.
