The cost of the vet visits in the last few months for my girlfriend’s pets is close to reaching 5 digits and I’m starting to become resentful at how much it’s costing me and also I feel like a monster for feeling that way, but I can’t afford things like getting my car fixed because of it. but it’s a german shephard and it has some kind of recurring infection that we suppressed with powerful antibiotics and then it came back and now we have to go to a specialist which will surely be another 3-5 thousand dollars
Is there any chance this dog I’d gonna be able to live a good life afterwards or isthis basically long term palliative care? If the dog can come out of this okay and live decent then I’d ssaynthere isn’t much other choice, if it’s just holding off death and the pup isn’t enjoying life the I’d say pull the plug. It’s what I’d want.
Yeah, I don’t think there’s a choice. The dog is living pretty well while he’s on medicine, but the medicine is very expensive, and eventually it’s likely he will develop an immunity.
