Even by fast food standards McDonalds sucks. It just tastes like pure salt to me, and I like salt (against my doctors wishes). Considering the volume of fries and nuggies, I doubt it if anything for product consistency. Oil that’s had chicken fried in it will taste like it really really fast, there’s probably a hotter oil temp for the chicken as well. Most places that do a lot of frying will have one or some for fires and one or some used for other stuff, it’s just more practical.
I’ve been in one of their kitchens and there was only one vat of oil, but I don’t know if they served nuggies here back then 🤷

Are the breakfast combos still sold in styrofoam trays? I remember always having to be careful cutting hotcakes because it was very easy to cut into the styrofoam below, leaving (even more) microplastic fragments in my food.
