Honestly, my favorite part of running a community is when a new face joins and posts something they like. It doesn’t matter if their posts don’t look like mine. Other people’s posts make me feel like I’m not just posting into the void.

ISP problem use DNS or VPN.
Tried it and just did some tinkering with the DNS settings, nothing.
I’ve been using a UK-based site to check if it’s down and that does show it as down when others, from elsewhere, show it as up but jumping between Germany and the US makes no difference.
edit: tried via Belgium and Japan and got nothing but Poland has worked. I can’t explain that.

I can see images hosted on the files subdomain but can’t access the site’s front page or watch videos on there. Weird.

I was keeping !noyank@lemmy.ml going for months, now I just check in every so often, and there’s starting to be conversations there, and it’s almost at 300. It’s not the most active community in the 'verse, but it is active. Cheers to Emperor and velox vulnus for contributing
Nice community, I remember seeing it a while back. Good to make the exercise to remember how prevalent US culture can be in other countries.
As a Yank myself, I actually appreciate that community. Lemmy and Mbin have worldly, logical arguments that wouldn’t get far on an American social media echo chamber. If the rest of the world doesn’t make themselves heard loud and clear, civilization will collapse.
No worries - I try and pick up on media that doesn’t come from the US as it keeps things interesting (even if the most engagement comes from American blockbusters), so happy to cross-post there too.

I’ve basically lost all interest in keeping my communities alive at this point. I tried posting daily myself, I encouraged others to join in, I had bots pulling content from reddit to have any activity there, people grew discontent but didn’t post themselves. Basically back to square one and don’t feel like starting out again. Guess I’m good without them
Post once in a week. No need to post daily. Like I do in !balatro@lemm.ee. Also, I was thinking to post in !sekiro@lemmy.zip but will never post on !bloodborne@lemmy.zip until it get remastered or ported to PC.
How many posts at a time do you post?
One can hope that there will be some movement in the Bloodborne camp sometime in the future

Souls-like fans will probably have to go to more generalist video game communitiesI checked out a couple of your posts on reddit where you also mention that we had an active community of around 70k people across the entirety of Lemmy. I was under the impression that we’re a lot more. In light of that, it makes sense they didn’t pop off more. Shittydarksouls seems general enough to gather enough people
