We got our hands on the newest gadget from Nintendo. No, it’s not a new Switch. It’s a clock and it’s aptly called the Alarmo. The design is very Nintendo, bright red with a soft plastic knob that lights up and doubles as a dial and button. You can select from a bunch of clock […]

I wonder how long it’ll be before people start getting hit with dmcas for taking pictures of it and showing it off to people

They couldn’t even make a circular screen? Or OLED? It looks so ugly.

Holy shit, I didn’t even realize until now that it’s just a rectangular screen on a circular surface. What a terrible design.

Probably had leftover screens after they stopped making the 3DS and wanted to use them for something.

The 3DS has a screen that size?

Edit: I’m dumb, I made this comment thinking this alarm clock was a watch…somehow. It definitely looks like the sameish size screen

I can see where you got watch from looking at the picture as a thumbnail rather than a full image!

This is a fun project to recreate on an RPI or Arduino

I like the concept, maybe kids will be more incentivized to wake up for school, but for 100 dollars you couldn’t at least make it a proper circular screen? This is just like the switch: A good product but outdated hardware.

Umm excuse me but if I am awaken by “it’s me Mario” I may have to drop third nuke to Japan targeting just Nintendo headquarters.
