I had never posted there before and if I was banned before I wouldn’t be able to press on Create Post. I checked but have never received a message before from r/bangladesh that I was banned. I think they have an automatic filter that picked up on the words ‘US sponsored coup’. Can someone post the same picture as me with the same text to see if this is not just a me thing? I checked, I can create comments in other subreddits but can’t post comments or posts in r/bangladesh anymore even though I didn’t receive a notification I’m banned. I can’t even see the list of moderators of r/bangladesh anymore.
But another reminder the Reddit is a US website with links to their government and a lot of national subreddits are compromised like r/afghanistan
The whole of reddit is compromised, this should be a wakeup call to anyone unaware; it is under control by US state actors and is as censored and controlled as any other mainstream liberal shitrag.
Id argue its even worse, as the bias and censorship is less obvious and more insidious thru botfarms, mass censorship of dissenting ideas to create the illusion of consensus towards US policy goals ect.
Fuck the US oligarchy.
To answer your original question, there is a recent Vijay Prashad interview about this topic. No link cuz phone.
He says that the priests erupted because of genuine reasons. However, after the ousting of Hasina, discussions between various groups including the student group took place at the US embassy. This indicates that US is opportunistically taking advantage of the instability.
He said that the new president being a microloan preddling pro-US Nobel Peace Prize laureate could be a move to keep the military off their backs. But I think it’s a bad sign signalling a lack of sovereignty.

Indian media does not care about the “colour revolution” aspect of it. In fact Hindutva media for some reason never ever criticises USA regardless how warranted it may be. They are mischaracterising it as an agitation led by the Islamist far right and hyperfocusing on the violence against the Hindu Banglas.

Thank you for your perspective. That’s what lacking, a Bengali perspective. I agree with you about Hasina, but was very confused about how to view the new leadership. That’s why I was asking around.

these are fine points but it’s unfortunately how a color revolution works - they hijack whatever real contempt there is in society
without understanding the overall situation that led to this to happen in the first place.
HK riots first happened because HKers rightfully did not want to be extradited to China, which they consider a pretty foreign place. a HK man killed his girlfriend in Taiwan and he was to be extradited to China. CIA-controlled media spun it as “CCP” bad HKers want to be free from them meanwhile… https://youtu.be/XoyGc41wcwc the US was behind the scenes pulling the strings

I’d assume any r/country is modded by people in a US government controlled agency or institution.
Amen
reddit is controlled by the CIA https://www.mintpressnews.com/jessica-ashooh-reddit-national-security-state-plant/277639/
you know how Americans think all Chinese corporations are controlled by the “CPC”? That’s literally how the US is with large tech companies.
Reddit literally has a CIA person on their board
what i think is more likely is that like of lot of liberal communities they have a lists of communities that they automatically ban anyone who is subscribed to them, and that list is mostly leftist communities
As you can see I can’t comment there anymore

Dude you keep making alt accounts to evade your ban and they all end up being caught after a few days. The next step is we’re gonna ban you again, we’re gonna delete your post and comments in one click, and then what? You’re gonna make more accounts? Give it a rest and move on, or change as a person so much so that we don’t have reasons to ban you any more.
