I suspect it’s paid time. I reckon there’s active online campaigns looking to sow dissent among friendly communities.
Somehow I feel that’s even worse. Like, if it’s someone local then seriously, what the hell. If it’s Reddit related then how bloody scared are they? And if it’s Russians or someone then… like, surely the Melb DT is so small that it wouldn’t be worth it. Crazy. Utterly crazy.
Could be a terf, they hate it when trans women have better outcomes than they. Glad we can all agree this is no place for any of it. Transphobia is one thing, but impersonating someone to insult thier friend by being transphobic is quite low. Terfs do run active campaigns to target trans people on social media. But more likely it’s a troll from the DT who knows we often had discourse over there and don’t like either of us.
I thought it was them and took it as a joke, but they assured me they’d never make a bigot joke sarcastically in the first place. Which is nice!
All in all, it made epic and I closer mates discussing it so there was a positive outcome from it.

So the bride of the wedding I’m attending is Butter’s the burmese owner. The cattery the cat is at in Melbs just sent a piccy whilst we were at brekky and she burst into tears :(

Well I’m crying too goddamnit. Butters is so special and beautiful and I’d have happily looked after him than have him at a cattery. 😭
Honestly if it were my cat I’d be emotional. At the same you know he’ll be alright (from what I’ve seen I guess). It’d be a bit conflicting for the owner heh.
Is it his first time at a cattery tho? I thought sox was fairly adaptable (as did her human), but she really did not enjoy being at a cattery and wasn’t quite the same after (hormonal stuff aside). I do expect bboi will rule the roost and not care at all though.
I think it’s his first time away from his people for this long. i’m trying to tell them that he’s on the upper end of the burmese IQ (the times I looked after him he just ran the place) scale and he’ll be okay but I’m living for this emotion.
Day 2 of stress leave and I think I’m going to order lunch in and then spend the arvo working on my Dutch. My lessons are getting a little harder as I get into verbs, pronouns, and formal/informal language. Also “de” and “het” and the rule for which one to use being “you sort of just memorise which goes with what” is so fkn funny.

I just watched the clip from LMG reporting that reddit is restoring accounts and comments for users who delete them. Starting to think the mods had the right idea of protesting.
I think we’ve got the right idea in moving to a new platform.

Went to the optometrist to fix my eye pads on my glasses and this cuddly bear of a man fixed them and also tightened the screws, cleaned it, and was also really nice

After 40 years of pretty much exclusively wearing Adidas shell-toes (thanks Run DMC!), Vans and Converse, my feet are fucked and I’ve had to come over to the dark side with some fitted fat-soled New Balance runners. Oh my! It’s like walking on air and I love it lol
So the one thing I’ve noticed about here in Indo is that there are no public bins. But people don’t just chuck their stuff. I’ve asked a bunch of people what’s the go and they thought I was mad.
It’s the opposite in my local park where there’s a few public bins and people just chuck their stuff on the ground. Some cunt leaves their up and go on the top of the bin… regularly.
Ugh is it really that much more effort to put it IN the bin??

Tinyest is so funny. I was trying to unzip his stupid jammed Wondersuit the other day, my hand slipped off the zip and I (very lightly) bonked him on the nose. He stared at me for 2 seconds before slowly screwing up his face and screaming “bahhhhhhhhhhhh” at me. Mrs b just dropped a toy near him and he did the same thing cause he was scared. I swooped in to calm him till she started laughing at how funny it all was which set him off again cause I think he felt mocked. Poor little fella, but it is hilarious! It’s like he has to charge up the cry before he unleashes it.
