Parenting Tip (dad of 8). Band-aids. Keep a lot of them and use them for ANYTHING. No justification necessary. You want one? You got it.

Dad of 8? Do you need a band-aid?

So true. We give our 9 year old a pack for Xmas each year. She’s usually at the end of the line when the next Xmas rolls around. I’ve put bandaids on tummies that feel sick. Win!

Trying to teach kiddo that putting a bandaid on only to take it off a few minutes later is a waste. Not having success with that one.

I know. Gentle reminders that it needs to stay on to work, buy cheaper bandaids if necessary (but I think the cheap plastic ones always give the child a loose edge to pick. I really like the fabric ones, and I buy store brand), but keep using them.

Somehow the child gets a feeling of being cared for, and stays there as a reminder that you care.

My 2 year old treats them like stickers but for any pain she has. Or just to stick on her forehead.

Pro tip… Don’t buy shitty bandages. Go straight up Band Aid or Nexcare. I actually prefer Nexcare.

I’m committed to the fabric ones for sure. No plastic.

To add: Get hydro-seal bandaids. Game changing for healing. You will thank me later.
