This is a community for ASMR enjoyers to discuss their experiences or favourite ASMRtists.

What is ASMR:

It’s a tingly feeling, kinda like when you listen to a really good song. Some people who watch ASMR videos don’t get these tingles but just enjoy the relaxing and sleepy sounds. ASMR is not a fetish.

Rules:

1 No NSFW. This includes nudes and lewds from instagram or other platforms.

2 No sexualization of ASMRtists. This rule applies regardless of gender.

Examples:

Ok: Glow’s makeup in her latest video is top notch, she’s so pretty!

Not ok: This ASMRtist is so hot!

3 When the name of the ASMRtist in your post is not clear, put their name in the comments.

Example:

Meme about Gibi, but her name is not clearly stated

Comment: Rule: This meme is about Gibi ASMR

4 No discussion of ASMRtists’ personal lives unless they intentionally share it as part of their main content.

Examples:

Ok: Talking about Gibi and Ben is ok, because they often appear in videos together.

Not ok: Talking about someone’s breakup or potential partner is not ok, even if they tweeted or made a community post about it, because they probably feel like they had no choice but to address the matter.

5 No mukbang

6 Don’t be rude

7 Self-promotion only allowed in the comment section and only if the discussion invites such promotion.

Example of what is ok:

Comment 1: I like this rare trigger

Comment 2: I like it too! I even made a whole YouTube channel about this trigger!

8 When discussing alternative ways of watching ASMR, from which ASMRtists don’t receive ad revenue or algorithm boost please encourage people to support ASMRtists through YouTube memberships, Patreon, Throne or other official ways.

“Alternative ways” are things such as Piped, Invidious, Jellyfin or anything other than YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Floatplane.

Visibility: Public

This community can be federated to other instances and be posted/commented in by their users.
