I give the side-eye to people who call it “A New Hope” or “Episode IV.”

    I’d say it’s closer to A Princess of Mars than Dune and that Dune also owes a lot to A Princess of Mars.

    But the Pellucidar books have that mix of different aliens that instantly grabbed people with Star Wars.
