Let James McAvoy pick the role back up - he killed it in the Messiah/Children SciFi series and could obviously do the sandtrout form justice although he’s way too old to play pre-worm Leto II at this point.

It’s so good in a early 2000s high budget SciFi channel series way. McAvoy especially steals the show in the Children of Dune portion but the Guild Navigators/Edric/etc were always my favorite parts. Begging Denis to put them in Messiah, but I fear he will be much too cowardly to lean into the fishman in a tank
