I miss living a place with the fruit cart (Tajin plz), the ice cream truck, and the elote cart. Random grandmas selling tamales out of a stroller.
There’s a place near my old house that was an elote cart, but they did so well they built a permanent building on the lot and they’re not a cart any more. I’m happy for them but also the food got worse after it stopped being a cart.

Finally in 2024, New York seems to have unlocked “garbage cans” on the tech tree. There are hardly any giant piles of trash bags that cover entire swaths of the sidewalk anymore.
