There’s lots of good resources online that you can dig into if you’re interested, but the highlights are as follows:

  • THCa is non-intoxicating and naturally produced by the plant
  • When heat is applied (decarboxylated), the THCa turns into THC that we’re all familiar with.
  • Because of the 2018 Farm Bill, anything with less than 0.3% THC by dry weight can be considered hemp, and is therefore legal federally.
  • THCa doesn’t count towards this amount because it’s not THC.
