Pro-tip America: this is how you make fun of us Europeans.

You don’t just use a lazy stereotype of an entire continent.

You use a wide array of even more offensive stereotypes of specific individual countries.

Also: IRC Club Vandersexx is in Amsterdam but Lucy Lawless sounds more like she’s speaking German, meanwhile the road signs in Germany are in Dutch, and the truck driver who says he’ll never go to Berlin is a German actor who played a Berlin detective on tv for 30 years. I can’t help thinking some of that was deliberate.

That song was much more of a banger than it had any right to be. Bonus points for Matt Damon absolutely crushing the role as the singer.

The advent of easy to access porn and OF has killed that genre, sadly.

          Sadly?

I mean … that genre was single-handedly what taught generations of boys that getting girls drunk was how you got laid. Or at the very least it was socially acceptable.

They were problematic as hell and while funny they really sent some bad fucking messages.

That genre was popular in the late 90s/early 00s, wasn’t it? If we’re talking about the American Pie/Eurotrip/etc. era… There was plenty of easy to access porn back then. Much easier than today, in many ways. The web was the lawless Wild West. You didn’t have to dig very far to find pretty much anything, for better or for worse.

I think you’re giving that era of the internet too much credit. People still had dial up in the late 90s and early 00s and tube sites weren’t really a thing yet. Clip indices were just taking off but it was like 30 second long videos.

We had hardcore jpeg compression for pics, download software with an antivirus, and a lot of imagination to go along with those 30s clips

Looking up porn then was a mixed bag. Most the time it was a virus and when it wasn’t the image would load halfway and quit. When you finally got something real to load you printed that shit as fast as you could.
