The company is considering a parcel of city-owned land near the West End Water Pollution Control Centre close to Wilkes Avenue and the Perimeter Highway.

I thought Sodium Ion was the hot new battery on the block?

For grid storage and such, sodium ion is a great candidate. But it is heavier than lithium ion. So for vehicles and electronics, it is probably uninteresting.

It is, as a low cost, low capacity option.
