Who cares though? It’s time to stop segregating sports by gender. Sports are skill based, right? So let’s break them down that way. Break out divisions by skill, not by gender or physical location. If a woman can work her way to top-tier heavyweight boxing, let her do it.

Most professional sports have essentially a women’s league and an everyone league. As in, the perceived men’s leagues technically permit women players if any can compete at the necessary level. Women’s leagues however have rules to only permit women to play.

That’s one of the reasons why the whole trans in sports conversation is always about trans women playing in women’s sports and not the reverse. Even if you don’t accept that trans men are men, women can already play men’s sports if they can compete, because they aren’t actually men’s sports as such.
